Providing COVID-19 and respiratory virus rapid tests and response, vaccine activation, treatment services, and strain surveillance
We have provided over 106,000 COVID tests and administered over 80,000 COVID vaccinations since April 2020.
Those who test positive through our sites receive opt-in access to response and treatment through our Community Wellness Team.
2020
While providing low-barrier rapid testing and response to community members, the first part of our project focused on understanding vaccine attitudes amongst those who were highly-affected by COVID-19.
Gathering what we learned through our testing site at 24th & Mission, we developed a tool kit for state and federal leaders.
2024 - 2025
2021 - 2022
Our goal for part 2 is to integrate strain surveillance, as well as vaccine education and delivery into our current test and response model. We are currently running a rapid testing site on 24th & Capp St, with vaccine services during the respiratory virus season.
In 2024 we continued offering multi-disease testing for COVID-19, diabetes and HIV, and and added blood pressure screening, as part of our Healthy First Friday program. Free COVID home test kits and support for connecting to health and other services are provided as well. In the fall and winter we also offer free updated COVID-19 and flu vaccines to protect community members during the respiratory virus season.

2023
In response to community needs, we have integrated multi-disease testing for diabetes and HIV. We also integrated Paxlovid treatment access to those who tested COVID positive in the 2023. We are currently running a rapid testing site the first Friday of each month on 24th & Capp St, with vaccine services during the respiratory virus season.
